Citizen Network is an international movement to achieve citizenship for all.
Citizen Network was established in 2016 to bring together people who want to make a world where everyone matters, where everyone can be a citizen.
We want a world where everyone can flourish and be the best that they can be, where everyone is treated as valuable, everyone is respected as an equal. This is not impossible, but it takes changes in attitude and changes in behaviour.
We believe that we can achieve citizenship for all by behaving more like citizens ourselves. In particular this means:
- Learning from the work of others
- Sharing the things we’ve learned
- Cooperating with others
- Welcoming others into community
- Standing up for the value of citizenship
By working together – around the world – we believe we can each help each other make this happen.
Citizen Network brings together people, groups and organisations around the world. We help people connect, learn from each other and work together to achieve citizenship for all. By joining Citizen Network you commit to act like a citizen:
- Everyone’s different and everyone matters
- You’ve got something to offer
- You’re willing to share what you’ve learned
Citizen Network is a cooperative. Guidance for the development of Citizen Network is provided by the Citizen Network Council, with representatives from:
- Citizen Network Australia
- Citizen Network Canada
- Citizen Network Czech Republic
- Citizen Network England
